Well it looks like we lost a premier scholar in Martin Hengel.  I agree with Brandon Wason’s call to read something of his today.  I am a bit sad that when I went to Archives bookshop today I passed on a Hengel work, instead I opted for Kasemann’s Perspectives on Paul.  On the plus side my daughter got her first trip to my favorite bookstore (aside from the SBL exhibition hall that is).   Rest easy Dr. Hengel your contributions will not soon be forgotten!
